What are the main manifestations of the crisis of totalitarian socialism in the Eastern European countries?

We are talking about the 1970-1980s. The phenomena are as follows:
Recession in economic growth. The CMEA countries were affected by the stagnation in the USSR, to which they were strongly tied by foreign trade. Albania’s troubles began after the end of aid from China in 1977-1978 and excessive militarization.
The population less and less believed in ideology and was looking for itself in something else: emigration (if possible), sub-culture, religion. The exception was Albania, where until 1990 there was nothing of the above.
Fight against dissent, suppression of inconvenient topics and public issues, “blank spots” in history.
Aging leadership. In a number of socialist countries until the 1980s, cadres ruled from the middle of the century. Enver Hoxha in Albania, Zhivkov in Bulgaria, Kadar in Hungary.
Martial law was declared in Poland in the 1980s.
