What are the main occupations of the peoples inhabiting Argentina?
Argentina is a country populated mainly by migrants, a kind of antipode to Bolivia. Almost all the peoples of Europe have come there over the past 200 years, including, for example, Ukrainians and Albanians. 97% of the population is white, the rest are mestizo and rare Indians. There are people from Africa and China.
The urbanization rate is quite high, about 85%.
The urban population is employed in trade, tourism, transport, financial and public sectors. There is also production in the country, the food industry, energy, food industry, mining of ore and nonmetallic minerals, the automotive industry, metallurgy, construction, and the timber industry are developed.
The rural population is engaged in fishing, animal husbandry (the country’s specialization) and growing cereals.
