What are the main parts of a flower?

The flower is the organ of sexual reproduction of angiosperms. The main parts of the flower are the stamens and the pistil. The stamens are the male part of the flower; pollen ripens in them. They are arranged in a flower around the pistil. The pistil is in the center of the flower, this is its female part. It consists of a column; stigma, which produces a sticky substance to fix pollen from the stamens; and the ovary, which grows into a fruit, and inside it, seeds are formed from the ovules. There may be a different number of stamens, depending on the family.
