What are the main qualities of a Spartan warrior?

In ancient Sparta, there were very strict customs of raising boys, thanks to which they later turned into a disciplined and hardened warrior. In fact, there are legends about the soldiers of Sparta, since it was there that they became soldiers from early childhood, and were not drafted into the army only in case of need. The Spartans were fearless and cold-blooded warriors, capable of acting quickly and calculatingly, which gave them a great advantage over their enemy. A very important moment in history that reflects the fortitude and bravery of the Spartans was the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. Then a detachment of Spartans of 300 people remained to block the road to the whole Persian army.
