In the free form, alkali metals cannot be found in nature; they are all found in the form of compounds in deposits. Potash and sodium deposits are located in the mountains and are called silicates. The most demanded, important and famous are compounds of sodium with chlorine (kitchen salt), the largest deposits have (Donbass, Solikamsk, Sol-Iletsk). Also, large reserves are found in seawater. The largest reserves of sodium sulfate are located in the Kara-Bogaz-Gol Bay of the Caspian Sea.
