Compound reactions are such reactions, during the course of which one complex is obtained from two or more substances.
For example:
1.C + O2 = CO2; carbon, interacting with oxygen, form a complex substance carbon dioxide.
2. NH3 + CO2 + H2O = NH4HCO3; three substances: carbon dioxide, ammonia and water, interacting, form a new complex substance, ammonium bicarbonate.
