What are the reasons and prerequisites for the creation of a unified Russian state?

The Russian state arose on the trade routes on the lands of the East Slavic tribes from where and expanded its territories in the 13-15th century. The political character also played an important role, since the neighboring cities were united into one state, which entailed the overthrow of the Mongolo-Tatars, centralized the protection of the Russian lands from external enemies. The social prerequisites played an important role; historically, there was a need for a strong state power at that time.
