What are the reasons for the American Revolutionary War of 1775-1783?

The American continent in the 18th century was colonially dependent on Europe. The metropolis dictated the terms of trade, production and social norms to the country of the New World. This angered the inhabitants of the mainland. They paid high taxes and duties on all the products they created. They were also forbidden to trade with some partners, export products and conduct an independent foreign and domestic policy. In 1775, an open confrontation began between England and America over the introduction of “stamp duty”.
