What are the reasons for the diversity of forests?

The forest is diverse because local conditions, determined by the climate, influence the growth of certain trees. The growth and existence of a certain plant is influenced by many indicators – the amount of solar heat and light in general, the amount of precipitation, and of course, the temperature. If you move from north to south, you can see how the forests are changing. In the north, there are many varieties of conifers, in the south we see mixed forests, where deciduous trees are also found, and due to the presence of fertile soils (black soil), the plant diversity also increases. In the zone of deserts and semi-deserts, that is, in arid areas, there are very few trees due to a lack of moisture. And as we move to the humid and warm climate of the subtropics and tropics, the number of evergreen forests increases.
