What are the reasons for the more intensive development of banking after the abolition of serfdom?

The liberation of the peasants from serfdom took place by paying large sums of money to the former landowners. This was guaranteed by the state. Moreover, further this amount had to be paid by the peasants themselves, regularly contributing money to banks. Thus, the banking sector initially benefited from the reform. He became the largest creditor in the country, having power over all the liberated peasants. Also, banks were in fact provided with regular replenishment of money – they were carried by the peasants as payment for the release loan.
