What are the reasons for the Reformation of England.

The Reformation in England began with the decision of King Henry VIII to secede from the Catholic Church. The reason for this was that the pope did not allow the king to dissolve the marriage. Henry the Eighth declared himself the head of the church in England and introduced the following innovations: he secularized church lands, introduced worship in his native language, used some of Luther’s ideas to reform worship, and allowed priests to marry.
