What are the reasons that South Africa is the most economically developed country in Africa?

The reasons for the high standard of living in South Africa are both historical and geographical. South Africa rose to a high level of development by the standards of Africa in colonial times and in the apartheid era thanks to immigrants from Europe – the British and Dutch (Boers), as well as with the participation of the Chinese and Indians.

The second factor is a favorable geographic location, it is seaside, in this sense it is more convenient for them to manage their household than Burundi or Niger.

The third factor is resources. They have fertile soils and many different minerals (coal, metals, uranium), all this also has a positive effect on the economy.
