What are the representatives of marsupials. What is typical for them?

Marsupials include: koala, kangaroo, wombat – an animal similar to a guinea pig and a beaver; of predatory animals – the Tasmanian devil, the marsupial marten. All marsupials are characterized by the fact that they give birth to very small cubs. They spend much less in the womb than in placental animals. After birth, they enter the pouch, attach to the nipple. The mother contracts special muscles and injects milk into the cub’s mouth. Also, these animals are characterized by the presence of two special pelvic bones: with one end they are attached to the front edge of the pelvis, and the other end freely protrudes forward. And, finally, the difference between the lower jaw is that its lower edges are bent inward.
