What are the results of the Hundred Years War?

The protracted conflict between France and England, referred to in historiography as the Hundred Years War and which lasted 116 years, was completed in 1453. France was the triumphant in this confrontation. The English side lost their possessions in French territory. Only the city of Calais was saved. England was distracted from attempts to take revenge by the bloody 30-year confrontation between Lancaster and York, which began in this country. The war that had been going on for more than a century contributed to the active development of military affairs.
