There were four wars, the first (from 1711 to 1714) was unsuccessful, Russia lost Azov and access to the Sea of Azov.

The war of 1768-1774 was successful, it turned out to annex the Black Sea region in the lower Dnieper region and bring the Crimea out of a vassal state with the Ottoman Empire and annex it by 1783.
The last war was 1787-1791, as a result of which it was possible to expand the possessions in the south to Krasnodar and to Odessa in the south-west.
The result was the creation of a fleet in the Black Sea and a sharp weakening of the Ottoman Empire.
