What are the similarities and differences between amphibians and fish?

Similarities
A number of common features can be distinguished. First, they live in water. Secondly, both of them have a spine, skull, head, torso; their body is covered with skin and mucus is present. The body of some and others has two-sided symmetry. They can see and hear. They have a sense of smell and touch. They taste the food. Their heart is made up of an atrium and a ventricle. There are five divisions in the brain. Propagated by external fertilization with the help of the ovaries and testes.

Differences
For the ability to swim quickly, bending at the same time, the body of the fish has adapted during life, it is flattened on both sides. Amphibians do not need this, their body is adapted, on the contrary, to movement on the ground. They have it compressed from above. In this position, it is more convenient for them to move around. Amphibians have limbs that fish do not. The limbs can be extended. This is done thanks to the muscles that are attached to them. The limbs also support the body of the animal above the ground.

In order to be able to observe around them, a neck appears in amphibians. Their spine has also become more complex. Several parts are now distinguished in it, according to the parts of the body.

As amphibians grow up, their gills, which are at birth, gradually dry out, and they now breathe light and smooth skin through the open pores. Fish, on the other hand, breathe through their gills. The body of the fish is covered with scales, which protects against friction. Blood circulation occurs in circles, in fish it is one, and in amphibians – two. Even in amphibians, the organs of vision are much better developed than in fish.
