What are the similarities and differences between plants and animals?

1) The difference between animals and plants, first of all, lies in nutrition. Plants produce nutrients at the expense of light, that is, they are autotrophs. Animals, on the other hand, consume ready-made organic substances and are heterotrophs by the type of nutrition.
Difference in movement: plants are inactive, and animals are actively moving.
Difference in growth: in most cases, plants do not have a definite growth, that is, they can grow to any height (depending on the conditions of their existence (including climatic)). Animals grow to a certain height.
Gas exchange: plants are capable of photosynthesis, but animals are not.

2) Similarities between plants and animals: they have a similar chemical composition (carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, etc.), they have a cellular structure, in both cases there is heredity, variability, metabolism, adaptation to natural conditions, growth and development, reproduction, excretion, respiration (absorption of oxygen, and then the release of carbon dioxide).
