What are the similarities and differences between predation and parasitism?

The similarity of both concepts is that both predators and parasites receive vital nutrients from other organisms. At the same time, there are many parasites that feed on vegetation, and the term “predator” refers only to carnivorous species. Another difference is that predators eat their prey completely, or at least kill it, while parasites live inside or on the host organism and slowly receive nutrients from it, depleting it (sometimes this is also fatal).
