What are the similarities and differences between South America and Africa?

South America and Africa have both some similarities and many differences. For example, Africa has a smoother relief, there are no extended mountain ranges, while the Andes stretch along the entire western coast of South America. Because of these mountains, South America receives much more rainfall than Africa, despite the fact that both continents are located in approximately the same climatic zones. This, in turn, affects the fact that in South America the forests are the dominant natural zone. In Africa, these are savannas and deserts.
