What are the similarities and differences between the ecosystems of the lake and the swamp?

Ecosystems and lakes and swamps are closed systems. This is their similarity. Components are located in a certain area and cannot go beyond it. In both cases, the water is fresh. These ecosystems are inhabited by similar organisms, for example, frogs live in a lake and a swamp. However, the fish does not live in the swamp, due to the high content of methane in the water. The ecosystem vegetation is also similar, however, it is more abundant in the swamp. Dying off, abundant vegetation provokes the formation of silt. Basically, any lake can become a swamp. Most often, oxbow lakes, formed from the old river bed, become swamps. The reverse process is also possible: by clearing the swamp from vegetation and silt, you can get a lake.
