What are the similarities and differences between the formation of coal and limestone?

There are many similarities between coal and limestone. First, these two minerals were formed due to the death of living organisms. Both of these minerals are used for good. Also, both of these minerals are mined either in the mountains or from underground. They have a stone and solid shape. But the difference between them is that limestone is a process of decomposition of animals, but coal is a product that comes from dead vegetation. Plus they have different adaptations.
