What are the similarities and differences in the structure of lycopods, horsetails and ferns?

Similarities:
– growing on moist soil, close dependence of the sexual process on the aquatic environment;
– the presence of well-developed stems and leaves, the appearance of roots;
– the presence of developed mechanical and conductive tissues, tracheids, vascular fibrous bundles, stomata;
– alternation of generations, predominance of sporophyte (2n) over gametophyte (1n).

Difference traits:
– ferns and lyres have bisexual gametophyte, horsetails – unisexual;
– horsetails have a jointed rhizome;
– the outgrowth of the lyre is strongly reduced.
