What are the similarities between ancient Rome and Greece with the civilizations of the ancient East?

All these civilizations were slave-owning (the sources of the “receipt” of new slaves were primarily wars of conquest, the slave trade), the economy of these states was based on agriculture, trade and handicraft production. Almost all civilizations of the Ancient World were pagan (with the exception of the Jewish civilization, but remnants of ancient polytheism were preserved there, too). Finally, they were all either monarchical, or went through the stage of monarchy, like the city-states of Ancient Greece or Rome at various stages of their history.
