What are the similarities between baluns, Horsetail and Fern?

Ferns, horsetails and baluns are the highest spore plants. Higher, because they have organs formed by tissues: a stem, leaves and a root, but the root is an adventitious one, since they do not yet have seeds. They reproduce by spores, therefore – spore plants. The similarity of these plants is also in the fact that in their life there is an alternation of generations: sporophyte (forms spores) and gametophyte (forms gametes). Their sporophyte is a leafy plant, and the gametophyte is a small plate – an outgrowth. Fertilization requires water.
