What are the stages of complete transformation of metamorphosis?

Complete transformation, or metamorphosis, consists of four stages: an egg, a larva, a pupa, and an adult – an imago.
The larva is absolutely not similar to the adult; the type of its nutrition may partially or not at all coincide with the type of nutrition of the adult. In the pupa stage, the individual does not feed. Later, the individual becomes an imago.
