At the cellular level, the same processes occur that occur with the body as a whole. But due to some differences, they are not capable of some processes. Any cell is capable of being born. This can occur during division, budding, or reproduction. Cells are capable of growth and metabolism. This does not depend on the type of cell. Even autotrophs, which themselves synthesize the necessary substances, need to absorb water and some chemicals for further synthesis. Any cell is capable of dying after some time.
