What attracted the followers of Buddha?

Previously, Buddha was a prince with the name given to him at birth. His name was Siddhartha Gautama. After going outside to the common people and seeing how the poor live, he decided to devote himself to the Gods, to become a hermit, he had followers. They wanted to help him, to continue his work and, perhaps, become enlightened.
One of the components of a person's success in our time is receiving modern high-quality education, mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for life in society.
