4th – 5th century was the last period of the Roman Empire. So already in 395 there was a split in the empire, it was divided into two parts – western and eastern. In the 5th century, due to the invasion of the Huns, the power of the Western empire was finally undermined, its defeat was ended by barbarian tribes, who founded their kingdoms on the ruins of the empire. This is how the kingdom of the Visigoths, the kingdom of the Vandals, the kingdom of the Ostrogoths, the Frankish kingdom and the kingdoms on the territory of the island of Britain appeared.
