What brings medieval Russia closer to Western European civilization and what is its originality?

I think that Russia adopted some of the customs and way of life of the inhabitants of Western Europe. Russia also tried, if possible, to adopt the science and inventions of Europe, to adapt them to its way of life. As in Western Europe, there was a class division in Russia. The elite was the aristocracy, which owned vast land holdings and formed the basis of the army of Russia at that time.
As in Western Europe, Russia was also torn apart by internecine wars.
The peculiarity of Russia lies in the fact that, being between the east and west, it was equally influenced by both Western Europe and the countries of the east and nomadic peoples, from which Russia was also able to adopt a lot of new and useful things.
It should also be noted that in Russia, in contrast to Western Europe, there were no so-called “heretical wars”. The position of the Church was strong.
