What caused the plants to emerge from the water onto land?

Several reasons for the emergence of plants on land (in the Paleozoic):
– new soil layers were formed (during the life of bacteria) suitable for plant life,
– an ozone layer was formed, which began to perform a protective function against direct exposure to ultraviolet radiation,
– once again the climate changed, it became more humid and temperate.
