What changes can happen if the wolf disappears?

If the wolf disappears completely, the population of hares will increase dramatically. And since hares are herbivores, they will eat plants at high speed. As a result, populations of insects and rodents, which also feed on plant foods, will suffer. Birds that eat insects will also become nutritionally deficient. Small predators that feed on rodents will also suffer. Thus, the extinction of only one biological species (wolf) can lead to the extinction of many populations.
