What changes can happen in the African Platform if the Rift Valley continues to expand?

The East African Rift is one of the largest and longest fault zones on our planet at its present stage of development. With the continuation of the expansion of this section, Africa will split into two parts, after which, instead of one continent, two new ones will appear. Probably, the eastern part will include the territories of states from Somalia to Mozambique. With the expansion of the crack, oceanic water will begin to flow there, so the two continents will be separated by a strait, which will continue to expand further.
