What chemical properties can be assumed for ethane, write down the reaction equation?

Ethane is a limiting hydrocarbon; there are simple (single) bonds in its molecule. Ethane – C2H6 is a homologue of methane – CH4, that is, it has a structure similar to it and the same chemical properties. Ethane is inactive due to the presence of strong sigma bonds. Reactions are possible only with factors: light, temperature and active particles. The type of reactions is substitution.
Examples:
Halogenation
С 2 Н 6 + Сl 2 = C2H 5 Cl + HCL
Nitration
C2H6 + HNO3 = C2H5NO2 + H2O
