What color is limestone?

Limestone is a rock containing calcium carbonate, which can dissolve smoothly in water and also turn into carbon dioxide. Mostly light gray limestone is found, but it will not be strange to find both white and almost black. It can have blue, yellow and pink shades (it all depends on what is mixed in it – there may even be the remains of ancient animals). There is absolutely no shine. The main use is in construction.
