What components of inanimate nature affect the growth and development of vegetation?

For the growth and development of plants, the sun is needed, that is, plants need warmth and light to grow. Photosynthesis occurs only in sunlight. Plants also need water, since all cells are made of water. For photosynthesis to take place, air is needed: in light, the plant absorbs carbon dioxide, and releases oxygen, in the dark, on the contrary, it absorbs oxygen, releases carbon dioxide. During growth, the plant absorbs mineral salts from the soil, which also belong to inanimate nature.
