What connected the peasants and their lords most of all?

They were connected by the fact that, on the one hand, the peasants depended on the lords and worked on their land, and on the other hand, the lord needed peasants who would work on his land and thus bring him taxes. So in the Middle Ages, feudal relations were formed, where one part of the population was subordinate to another. In this connection, ordinary peasants were forced to obey their feudal lords, work on their land and pay taxes.
