What continents and parts of the world does the continent of Africa adjoin?

If we proceed from the division of land into parts of the world, then Africa borders on two of them: Europe in the north and Asia in the east. Together they form the concept of the Old World, which implies their connectedness throughout history, cultural ties, etc. They are considered the cradle of civilization. And if we take into account the division of land into continents, then in the neighborhood of Africa there is only one continent – Eurasia. They were connected by land before, but now, on the site of a natural bridge, people have built the Suez Canal (off the coast of Egypt).
