What contradictions existed in the world at the beginning of the 20th century. Why do you think their peaceful solution was impossible?

At the beginning of the 20th century, contradictions were associated with the existence of military blocs, that is, the Entente and the Central Powers, as well as with the colonial redistribution of the world, which led to such hot spots:
South Africa, the Boer War took place there.
Qing Empire. In it, Japan and all major European countries fought for influence. In 1900, they staged a military intervention to suppress the boxing uprising.
The Korean Peninsula, because of the struggle for spheres of influence on it, began in 1904, the war between Russia and Japan.
Africa. England, France and Germany fought for the colonies in it, Italy also tried to seize something, in 1912 they took Libya from Turkey, and in 1896 failed in Ethiopia.
Balkans. The Ottoman Empire was weakening there, Greece, Bulgaria and Serbia wanted to divide its territory, and there were also contradictions among themselves. As a result, the First World War broke out in 1914.
