What could the living world of our planet become if only asexual reproduction existed?

Asexual reproduction is one type of offspring replication. Sexual gametes do not participate in the process of asexual reproduction, as it happens during sexual reproduction; there is no crossing over and conjugation (shuffling and cross exchange of chromosomes), which leads to genetic diversity, the acquisition of new skills, changes in the structure of the organism – mutations and variability. The basis of asexual reproduction is not meiosis, as in sexual reproduction, but mitosis – from one cell, two daughter cells are obtained, identical to the original (mother) cell. With asexual reproduction, the genetic apparatus does not change, it is stable, therefore organisms using this type of reproduction practically do not change externally and internally for thousands of years. If there were only asexual reproduction, then, most likely, there would be no evolution on Earth, there would be no “forward movement” and no change in organisms. All living things would be similar to their old ancestors and would not change in any way, would not be able to adapt to environmental conditions.
