What countries and peoples were conquered by the Romans?

The Roman Empire, during the heyday of its strength and power, conquered the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea and its inland seas. Also, the armies of the empire were present in the British Isles, regularly infiltrated the forests on the territory of present-day Germany, and for some time held the central part of present-day Romania.
