In the water you can get overcooled, drown, cut yourself on sharp stones and broken glass, overheat in the sun. On the street, get hit by racing cars, become a victim of thieves and rapists, pick up pathogenic microbes. At school there are pugnacious peers, steep stairs. Even in the house – in the kitchen, in the bedroom or in the hallway – a naughty or inattentive child is in for a lot of trouble.
