The natural conditions in a settlement depend on many factors, the main one being the geographical position of the city and climatic conditions. Also, the natural conditions are influenced by the presence of various reservoirs within the city, the abundance of green spaces.
There is also such a thing as the “profession” of the city. There are industrial cities (for example, Dzerzhinsk, Chelyabinsk), port (Novorossiysk, Vladivostok), resort (Sochi, Anapa) cities.
These factors both shape the appearance of the city as a whole and affect its natural conditions.
