What determines the sound volume?

Sound is created by vibrating at a certain frequency (sound) of a sound source. Through the medium, most often air, the vibrations reach the human ear. The pitch of the sound depends on the frequency of the vibrations, and the loudness depends on their amplitude. The greater the oscillation amplitude at the source, the louder the sound. A good example is the guitar. The more you pull the string, the louder the sound it makes.
