What did France do for its safety in the 1920s?

In the first half of the 20th century, European powers were worried about foreign policy. Also, a crisis began inside the country. After the First World War, France gradually lost its influence in trade and the military sphere. Tough inflation took place. To save itself from internal problems, the country was forced to borrow money from European banks. The gradual build-up of military equipment – militarization – helped from the external threat. Attempts were made to confront the Third Reich.
