What did people do in ancient China?

The main occupation was agriculture, since the Chinese society of that period was agrarian. They grew rice, just soybeans and tea (it began to be cultivated in the south of modern China, near the border with Myanmar, Yunnan province).

In the cities, the Chinese were engaged in crafts, that is, they smelted metal, made products from precious stones, ordinary stone and wood. They built ships, carts, houses, canals, they knew how to make porcelain and silk.

Of the major construction projects, the Great Wall of China can be noted.

Some of the Chinese fought, both during internal conflicts and with external enemies (Xiongnu), therefore, who made armor and weapons for them (blacksmiths), and someone mined metal.

They also trade with neighboring countries, but not as actively as Phenicia, for example, they made different inventions (compass).
