What did people write on in ancient times?

Previously, as you know, there was no paper. The people of antiquity did not yet know how and from what to make paper, and, in principle, they had no idea of what could be written on paper. People of antiquity wrote on tablets. Planks could be made of clay, stone, metal, wood. They even wrote on the walls of caves, on the ground, on the sand.
