What did the ancient Germans sell to the Romans?

The ancient Germans actually traded very actively with the representatives of the Roman Empire, even in spite of their “cultural differences”. In particular, they sold slaves, furs, leather, goose down, and some vegetables. Also, the Germans mined and sold amber to the Romans from the Baltic coast. In exchange for goods, they received mainly bronze jewelry, vases, utensils and wine. Iron, bread, salt, weapons were not sold to the Germans, as these are strategic goods of high importance to the Roman Empire.
