What did the ancient Greeks come up with?

Ancient Greek civilization was one of the most advanced for its time; it became one of the main foundations of European civilization. During the heyday of Ancient Greece, many discoveries, inventions, innovations were made, many of which we still use today. These are plumbing and central heating, public baths, theaters, stadiums, gymnasiums. The Greeks invented such measuring devices as the thermometer and odometer, and for the first time began to draw up maps of the area and plans for city buildings.
