What did the Greeks bring from the colonies and what did they take out?

In the colonies, the Greeks took out those who wanted to settle in a new place. This was due to overpopulation in Greece. Also, if necessary, builders and architects, as well as military detachments, were sent to the colony. Sometimes construction materials were brought to the colony.

Greeks exported food products (especially grain), timber, slaves, minerals, handicrafts of neighboring tribes, weapons and ammunition, horses from the colonies. It also happened that the Greeks hired warriors from neighboring tribes, if necessary.
