What did the liberal bourgeoisie see as a danger to the stability of society?

The liberal bourgeoisie saw the danger in the disintegration of a huge state into national autonomies, which could serve as the beginning of interethnic conflicts. After the abdication of Nicholas II in 1917, the representatives of this bourgeoisie, the Cadet Party (Constitutional Democratic), saw Russia as a constitutional monarchy headed by his son Alexei. After all the Romanovs renounced the throne, the Cadets voted for a republic. Their opponents were the Bolsheviks and other socialists. The Cadets continued the struggle for power until they were declared by the Bolsheviks “the party of the enemies of the people.”
